Happy Birthday, Roman!

Yesterday was Roman's 3rd Birthday!
We celebrated with him on Sunday at his Fireman's Birthday Party!

Becky had a cute activity where a large house had been drawn on the driveway & she had the kids draw flames with pink, red, orange & yellow chalk.  Then they threw water balloons at it to put the flames out!  So cute!

We had a great time!

[We thought this was so cute ... one of Roman's presents was this huge dinosaur.  He immediately ROARED & had it attack Brett's stomach!  :)  It was so funny ... and I loved Brett's reaction!]

Happy Birthday to my very favorite 3 year old nephew.  :)

Our Happy Easter Weekend ...

We went to St.Louis for Easter. We drove in from KC, as did the Lewis Family, Kyle flew in from Arkansas, Aunt Deb & Uncle Jim flew in from Connecticut & the Warren Family drove in from Maplewood. :)

On Saturday morning we did a "Bunny Breakfast" at St.Mark's - the church our family has been going to for 30+ years. There was a lovely breakfast with fruit, waffles, pancakes & sausage! Then there were a couple egg hunts, divided up by age groups. Toddlers in the courtyard [used to be my favorite place at the church with the fountain ... I ate many sprinkled doughnuts out there as a kid] and the older kids were on the playground. Photos with the Easter Bunny, coloring, pin the cotton tail on the rabbit ... fun fun fun.

Saturday afternoon our group divided up. Jim, Deb, Kyle, Brett, Davis, Jason, Roman & my Dad all went to the St.Louis Cardinals Game. They had an awesome time, had amazing seats & got to witness a great WIN! My mom, Becky & I stayed home and helped get things ready for the Easter Bunny ;) wink wink, prepared some food for our Easter meals, and actually had some time to RELAX. Becky & I sat outside in the sunshine reading our books, sipping on Wheach Beer (<-- bottom right on the website), which happens to have the CUTEST bottle label ever. Then when everyone got home from the game [the Warrens were at a wedding], my mom grilled burgers & hot dogs. Sunday we went to church then came home to see that the Easter Bunny had brought stuff in the kiddies' baskets! We had a wonderful breakfast & had a couple egg hunts. One for the 28 & over crowd and one for the 27 & under crowd. It's always fun to see what the eggs get stuffed with for the 28 & over crowd... Leah got coupons for Maalox & Centrum, Jason scored a coupon for a Bumble Bee Sensations Seasoned Tuna Medley Bowl. I really wanted to trade Jason for my peanut butter cups, but I held off. Anyway, here are the many pics! :)

How Davis spent HIS DAY.

Before I do Easter, I need to finish up Davis's Birthday!  :)  Here is how he spent his BIG DAY.

Davis got to be "Star of the Week" at school which meant he got to bring in a poster with all of his favorite things.  The morning of his Birthday, Libby & I went to his classroom to read Davis's favorite book, "The Runaway Pancake".  We also brought a cookie cake to share with his friends at school!  After school it was a nice day, so Davis, Brett & Libby played in the backyard.  They enjoyed blowing bubbles!  Then later Mimaw & Pappy came over for dinner.  He opened presents & cards and we all had ice cream sandwiches as Davis's Birthday dessert (he picked it out).  All in all, it was a FABULOUS FIFTH BIRTHDAY.

[Isn't this so cute?  They all put their hands in!]

[and I just thought this was too funny. Libby put Mr.Potato Head's glasses on her Dora doll.]
